You may think you have died and gone to paradise, but actually you are about 40 miles north of Winnemucca in Paradise Valley. This charming hamlet of picturesque farms and ranch lands is gateway to the Santa Rosa Mountains. Large cottonwood and poplar trees hang lazily over historic buildings, some of which are relics of the town's mining days of the early 1900s. The historical community is a popular “get away” destination for hunters, capers, and recreationists, with a bar /restaurant, an RV park, and a Bed and Breakfast. Local residents (110 as of the last census) and the valley’s ranch families enjoy the benefits of a close knit rural community with a kindergarten thru 8th grade school. Located 40 miles north of Winnemucca, the area offers easy access to the Humboldt National Forest and abundant outdoor recreation.
